
Quitting smoking turns prolong your life you know.
The findings in the journal Lancet suggests quitting smoking adds to the life expectancy by 10 years. Wow!
"If a woman smokes like a man, so he can die like a man. But the men and women who quit smoking before middle age have a chance to live 10 years longer," explains Kirstin Pirie researchers from the University of Oxford reported by Timehealthland (30/10 ).
According to Rachel Huxley of the University of Minnesota, women smokers are at greater risk of heart disease than men. Quitting smoking can reduce the protective effects of estrogen on the heart.
The study found that women who quit smoking before the age of 40 years can reduce the risk of premature death by 90 percent. Meanwhile, women who quit before age 40 can increase profits by 97 percent.
Smoking has been shown to cause 87 percent of deaths from lung cancer. Heart disease, stroke, cataract complications of pregnancy until the problem into other life-threatening risk smokers.
