Face does look tired if someone can not sleep soundly at night. Now research also proved that lack of sleep is indeed really make the face increasingly ugly.
In addition to black circle around the eyes, the face will also look swollen and more many wrinkles that are found because of lack of sleep.
"The face is sources of information from a person, including the expression of interaction with others. So if fatigue a result of the lack of sleep, they also will be lazy to show expression," said Tina Sundelin of Stockholm University in Sweden.
As many as 10 people were involved in this research. Their faces were photographed before and after not sleeping for 31 hours. After that, as many as 40 other respondents are requested to observe 20 photos of the people who did not sleep for 31 hours.
The result proved that most evaluations are given showing if lack of sleep makes the face more pale, swollen eyes, and wrinkles around the lips.
Previously, there is also research that says that lack of sleep make aging skin faster. The skin is also difficult to heal from the condition of sunburn if a person does not fulfill the needs of his sleep every day.
The results then reported in the journal Sleep.
